Terms of Service

Acceptance

These terms are an agreement between you and AppForge Inc., which operates Taskpuff. By creating an account or using Taskpuff (the app, app.taskpuff.com and taskpuff.com) you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Taskpuff.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older. Keep to one account per person, and give accurate information.

What Taskpuff is

Taskpuff is a marketplace that connects customers who post jobs with pros who offer to do them. Taskpuff is not a party to the agreement between a customer and a pro. We do not employ pros, we do not supervise their work, and we take no payment. Prices are estimates that the customer and the pro agree on and pay between themselves, outside Taskpuff.

Pros

Pros are responsible for their own licences, permits, insurance and taxes, and for the quality and safety of their work. Approval on Taskpuff and the “ID checked” badge are not a licence, insurance or a background check. The badge only means a Taskpuff operator approved the profile by hand.

Customers

Customers are responsible for accurate job details, for safe access to the place of work, and for checking that a pro is right for the job.

Your content

You own what you post. You give Taskpuff a licence to host, store and show your content to the people it is meant for, so we can run the service. You must have the rights to every photo and video you upload.

Community rules

Taskpuff has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Do not post or send anything that is:

Reporting and blocking

You can report a chat message, a conversation, a pro profile or a job post, and block a person. Customers and pros can both do this. Blocking stops new messages, matching and address sharing with them. A new report is emailed to a Taskpuff operator, who reviews it. We remove content and suspend or ban accounts that break these rules, and we aim to act on reports within 24 hours.

Suspension and deletion

We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. You can delete your account at any time in the app or at app.taskpuff.com/account/delete. What happens to your data is in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

Taskpuff is provided by AppForge Inc. “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee any pro, any customer, or the outcome of any job, and we do not guarantee the service will always be available or error free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AppForge Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss arising from work done by a pro or from dealings between users. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AppForge Inc.’s total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid Taskpuff in the 12 months before the claim. Because Taskpuff is free, that amount is zero. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

Indemnity

You agree to cover AppForge Inc. for claims and costs that come from your content or from your breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and for material changes we will tell you in the app or by email. Using Taskpuff after a change means you accept it.

Apple

If you use the iOS app, these terms are between you and AppForge Inc., not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
